From the very beginning, the organization has had two missions: to offer a performing outlet for local professional and nonprofessional musicians, and to provide high-caliber, low-cost concerts for diverse audiences at a broad spectrum of events.
Primary funding for the River City Concert Band is derived from performance fees. Memphis Arts Council subsidizes the Band’s budget via an annual grant. For more information on booking the band for an event, please visit our comments page.
River City Concert Band is a member of the Cycle of Fifths webring -- a collection of community band websites.
